CD mastering has become MUCH less attractive as close to nobody buys CDs any longer. I copied Waveburner over from 2 systems now (we could just copy/paste the app as no special library installs were necessary) because I occasionally needed it. I am surprised, I _never_ came across a bug that I would remember, it just worked well enough to get the job done (zooming is quite a pain).

If Apple decides to drop it what can we do except buying another app (thanks for the link btw). For the time being I celebrate to stick to Sierra then.

Sony CD Architect was added by Journeyman in Apr 2009 and the latest update was made in Nov 2017. In Windows the old ones are still readable over 25 years and Apple forced to buy and buy or have NO alternative. When Apple cut down the old one, where are the alternatives?

Any plans on upgrading the current and very basic Burn To CD function in Sound Forge Pro 2.5 Mac to the more useful CD Architect functions?? CD Architect was really the most logical step after using Sound Forge to master your material and seems to be curiously missing on the Mac side. Many of our clients still require Master CD's for reference as well as for mail in hard copies to the duplicators for more complex projects ( double CD's, live, ect ) The built in burner ( while much appreciated ) is extremely basic with none of the necessary tools that CD Architect has and that modern mastering requires. I hear ya, but that kinda defeats the purpose of having a Mac version of Sound Forge in the first place. I have no programming experience so I am probably way off base but it seems that if Sound Forge can display and edit audio, adapting CD Archtect would be the logical progression. It's a real workflow killer to have to shutdown the computer and reboot the Bootcamp partition just to use CD Architect. But there really is no other Mac based equivalent that is anywhere near as powerful and has such an intuitive workflow.
